Governance and security

The following sections describe how W&B handles data usage for the W&B Agent, including how Free, Pro, and Enterprise users can control their data usage and provide feedback to W&B.

Free and Pro users

W&B may use Customer Data to provide and improve the Software and Service. Free and Pro users can not opt out of this data usage. For more information, see the W&B Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Enterprise users

The following applies to Multi-tenant SaaS, Dedicated Cloud, and On-Prem customers that have signed an MSA with W&B.

For existing customers, W&B conducts legal due diligence procedure with outside counsel to annotate whether your current MSA permits:

• Sending your data to Anthropic / Open AI
• Using your data for product improvement
• Training models on top of your data

Contact your account executive or W&B support if you have questions about your MSA or data usage.

Control data usage

W&B Admins can control how their organization’s data is used by W&B’s AI features. Admins can choose to allow or disallow the following:

• Enable LLM-powered features: Controls whether your organization’s W&B data may be processed by OpenAI and/or Anthropic to power AI features.
• Share AI traces with W&B for improvement: Permit W&B to use your shared data to improve AI models.
• Allow model training on shared data: Permit W&B to use your shared data to train AI models. Enabling this may improve future model quality. Learn more

To control your organization’s data usage:

1. Navigate to your organization’s home page.
2. In the upper right corner of the page, select the User menu dropdown. Within the Account section of the dropdown, select Settings.
3. Within the Settings tab, select Privacy.
4. Scroll to the Smart features section.
5. Toggle the options according to your preferences. Changes are saved automatically.
